As of May 2013, the bank reports that the mix of services has allowed them to attract one million new customers since launch, and they are optimistic that

this number can grow to 3 million by end-2013. The initial challenge faced was that DBBL had to negotiate with each of the country's 6 mobile operators separately, to open the USSD channel. After much negotiation Banglalink and CityCell agreed to partner.
